West Wyalong’s Regional Music Inc recently hosted the Winter Wind & Strings School in partnership with the Orange Regional Conservatorium. This 3-day workshop was held the week before last at West Wyalong and was attended by beginners as well as more experienced musicians. I was thrilled to be asked to photograph the workshops and concert finale, and it was amazing!! So much talent! The students had sessions each day with their tutors in their various musical sections – woodwind, strings, guitarists and brass, as well as practise sessions altogether (called in orchestral terms ‘tutti’).
Jourdaine attended with her flute and she said it was an awesome experience to be able to play in an orchestra, and she learnt so much….so inspiring! She definately wants to attend again next year 🙂
