The composition is very expressive Cindy. My eyes are drawn down by both subtle and strong lines and shapes to the hand in the all important soil.
But, there is something extra too. I puzzled over it for a while trying to grasp what it was, and then some more, trying to put it into words!
I feel sure that Wayne’s love of the land, and his expectations of it for his family and himself, are in his heart and mind at that moment, and it’s showing in his body language (no teasing now). You’ve captured a compelling image of your very own Farmer…hopeing. Might I say, “It’s beautiful”.
May your crops grow green and strong and the cockatoos chase all the mice away and…umm…most of the cockatoos go on a long holiday!
