Autumn is usually depicted with the burnished rust and gold colours of colder climates. They’re absolutely beautiful, albeit, they flout their flags rather brazenly.
I like these gentle autumn hues from a warmer, longer summer, Cindy.

Shorter summers by the sun,
And winters longer, colder,
Autumn hastened, comes intense
With colours rich and bolder.

But gently drifts the Autumn
On a longer summers breeze.
A season borrowing warm time
From the Autumns claim on trees.

And as Autumn slowly turns
From the summers stronger hold,
Winter songs come whispering,
Turning leaves to softer gold.
